"The Principles of Fit for a Successful Apparel Line" given by Wilfredo Alvarez

Wilfredo Alvarez, Senior Technical Designer and Patternmaker at URBN, parent company of Urban Outfitters, Anthropology, and Free People, headquartered at the Philadelphia Naval Yards, gave a comprehensive workshop focusing on production techniques at the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator located at Macy's Center City for the "designers in residence" of the Philadelphia Fashion incubator and the BROOKLYN fashion incubators on June 29th, At the workshop, organized by Maria Barraza Executive Director of the BFI, and Elissa Bloom, the Executive Director of the PA incubator, Wilfredo Alvarez shared his extensive knowledge of apparel construction to improve production techniques and the quality of the designer's lines. The incubator's participants benefited greatly from Wilfredo's tutorials and look forward to implementing his practical suggestions to improve their production.
